Mandarin, Spanish and English are the top three spoken languages — in the world.

trimmersion

Through our signature Trimmersion™ approach, language isn’t taught — it’s lived. Mandarin, Spanish, and English become part of each child’s daily rhythm, building not just fluency, but cultural understanding and confidence. Rather than exposure, we provide immersion, where your child spends their entire day in all three languages through a 45:45:10 model. Our program is rooted in research, built from years of experience to develop real skills: cognitive strength, cultural fluency, emotional regulation, independence, and academic readiness. Our focus is to guide children to speak, read and write in three languages in an environment where children are respected, supported, and empowered to grow — academically, socially, and emotionally.

We also provide Dual Immersion programs in either Mandarin or Spanish, where your child will be immersed in a 90:10 language model.

Mandarin

We teach Traditional Mandarin focused on character recognition and stroke order. Verbal understanding and language acquisition is achieved through an immersive environment, repetition, visual aids, music and encouragement. As a tonal language, it is easier to master a language like Mandarin while the auditory skills are still developing at a young age. At the age of 7, our brains begin to favor sounds that we have been exposed to before rather than those we have not. When learning a new language that prioritizes new phonemes, tones and pitch, 0-6 is the sweet spot. Our Mandarin staff are native speakers of the language and originate from both Mainland China and Taiwan.

Spanish

We teach reading and writing in Spanish through phonemes and syllabification. Verbal understanding and language acquisition is achieved through an immersive environment, repetition, visual aids, music and encouragement. Thirty percent of the English language comes from a Spanish cognate (root). Los Angeles is the proud home of a large Hispanic population primarily originating from Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador. Our Spanish staff are native speakers of the language and originate from Mexico, South America and Spain.

English

English language development is supported throughout the day as the social language on campus is English, as well as the instruction during extracurricular activities. All students over the age of 4 years old receive an hour and a half of English instruction focused on the Science of Reading in the Montessori method.
